Numerology - Personality Number

Your Personality Number represents the parts of yourself that you are most ready and willing to reveal to others. That number will help you figure out how others perceive you.

Your Personality Number is derived from the consonants in your birth name, as it appears on your birth certificate at the time of your birth date.
It is one of the Core numbers in Numerology (See also your Life Path Number, Birthday Number, Expression (also called Destiny) Number, and Heart's Desire (sometimes called Soul Urge).

Its calculation is similar to your Life Path number: Each consonant has a value (See chart below). Your Personality Number is essentially a sum of these numbers, reducing all double digit number to a single digit (e.g. 24 = 2 + 4 = 6).

Each consonant translates to a number:

Remember, the letter Y can be considered a vowel or a consonant, depending on the adjacent letters:

  • Y is a vowel when Y serves as a vowel and sounds like a vowel, or when Y is the only vowel in the syllable (Mary, Kathryn)
  • Y is a consonant when Y follows another vowel, and it doesn't provide for a separate vowel sound (Hayley, Britney)

Let's walk you through a couple examples:

Example #1:

If your name is William John Warner:

First name:
= W + L + L + M
= 5 + 3 + 3 + 4
= 15 = 6		 Middle name
= J + H + N
= 1 + 8 + 5
= 14 = 5		 Last name
= W + R + N + R
= 5 + 9 + 5 + 9
= 28 = 1

= 6 + 5 + 1 = 12 <=> 3.

Example #2:

If your name is Oprah Gail Winfrey

First name:
= P + R + H
= 7 + 9 + 8
= 24 = 6		 Middle name
= G + L
= 7 + 3
= 10 = 1		 Last name:
= W + N + F + R + Y
= 5 + 5 + 6 + 9 + 7
= 32 = 5

= 6 + 1 + 5 = 12 <=> 3.
